What Do We Mean by a Small Business?
For the purpose of our promotional offers, a small business is an independently owned business with fewer than 50 employees that is not owned, controlled by or operating as part of a large national or multinational corporate group.
This is UKTrademark.org's offer-eligibility definition and is not intended to replace a statutory, tax or accounting definition of a small business.

- The New Start-Up Offer applies to businesses that are pre-launch or have traded for less than 12 months when the service is purchased.
- The limited-time offer applies only to the listed business categories and must be claimed and paid for between 26 July and 4 August 2026.
- Evidence of eligibility may be requested. Offers cannot be combined, and only one offer applies per qualifying trade mark application.
- Additional classes are charged at the applicable official UKIPO rate. Our service fee is not increased for additional classes unless extra work is agreed separately.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee registration. The final decision rests with the UKIPO, and third parties may have the right to oppose an application.
- Offers may be amended, extended or withdrawn. Eligibility and the applicable price will be confirmed before payment.
