How much is a UK trade mark?
A UK trade mark application with UKTrademark.org starts from £455 total for one class. That total is made up of our £250 filing support fee and the £205 official UKIPO online filing fee.
The UK Intellectual Property Office uses the spelling trade mark, while many business owners search for trademark. Both phrases are used on this page because customers commonly search for UK trademark cost, UK trade mark cost and UK trademark price.
What is a UK trademark class?
A class is a category of goods or services. Your trademark application needs to cover the right classes for what your brand does now and what you may reasonably expand into later.
For example, an aesthetics clinic may need to think about clinic services, training, skincare products, online education, merchandise or future product lines. Choosing too narrowly may leave gaps. Choosing without a plan may cost more than needed.
What is included in our £250 service fee?
- Initial consultation before payment.
- Clear explanation of the UK trademark process.
- Trademark search and practical risk review.
- Classification review and class selection support.
- 5-year growth planning check for future services, products, courses and expansion.
- Application preparation and WhatsApp review before filing.
- UKIPO filing support and immediate access to your application details.
Why does the UK trademark price change with classes?
The official UKIPO filing fee includes one class. Each additional class adds an official fee of £60. UKTrademark.org does not add an extra service charge for more classes, so your additional class cost is the official UKIPO fee only.
Is the cheapest UK trademark filing option always best?
Not always. A lower price can become expensive if the wrong classes are selected, the description is too narrow, or future growth is not considered. A UK trademark is a long-term brand asset, so the aim is to file it properly from the start.
Can I get an exact UK trademark price before I pay?
Yes. We complete an initial consultation first, discuss your business activities and growth plans, then explain which classes may be relevant before payment is taken.
